I am Remi, a Lithuanian painter based in London.

My practice is rooted in the joy of the immediate - finding ordinary fragments of life and allowing them to reshape themselves on the canvas. I work with a deep trust in the unexpected. For me, painting is a fluid space to explore new ideas, lean into shifting styles, and capture a momentum that cannot be planned. Colour always leads; the form simply follows.

Much of the time, we look at the world out of habit - recognising a familiar object and moving on.

My paintings are an invitation to pause that habit. By leaning into instinct rather than rules, I translate the ordinary into something soft, tilted, and alive. These pieces are not meant to define an object, but to preserve the raw excitement of seeing it for the very first time. I choose not to title my work, as I prefer to leave the narrative completely open for you to explore.
